Our little girl is such a blessing. Erin has been taking those awesome Polaroids, and I have been keeping up with the everyday memories on our "regular" camera. :) I can't believe it has been 3 weeks already! Watch a quick slideshow of her birth and first 2 weeks here. (warning I don't hold back on showing the raw birth photographed by the amazing Punam Bean. Go see her blog post of us here. We shot her daughter Uma's birth, well sorta, but that is another blog post we will share soon too! ) I am back on my feet (except when I am sitting and breast feeding 8-12 hours a day) and almost recovered from Avellana's amazing birth. However, I am still learning the new everyday life of being a mother. I can't believe it has been 3 weeks +3 days since her birth on March 16th,2012 at 7:35 pm. I have just 3 weeks to get a good schedule down and the strength up both physically but mainly mentally to leave her for the day at our first wedding. We have slowly been introducing the bottle (pumped breast milk) to her and I bawled when she took it... So I know I will cry and panic when I leave her for the first time at 6 weeks old. Luckily it will be with my mom... but still.
Anyways I am slowly working a little each day and testing different ways to breast feed at the computer so I can go back to editing and blogging. But technically I am still on Maternity leave but like any new mom knows it can be a bit suffocating in the house all the time and you get stir crazy... time just flies by! One minute it is 7:30am then next thing you know you're asking what is for lunch then realizing it is 6pm!! Right now I have to work, walk, and just move around as much as possible. I mean doing laundry is fun for me because I get some fresh air. I still nap since that is really important for recovery and breast feeding the first 6 weeks. Napping is good.
A snippet of Avellana's 3rd week. Her hair looks crazy red during the golden hour outside, but in the shade it is brown. Just like Erin's beard! :)
