Two from the road {so to speak}

For the past two weeks or so, we {as in the whole family} have been on the road. First to SF to photograph a couple from Boston. Then to Woodside {between Santa Cruz and Palo Alto} to photograph their wedding. Then off to visit family in Sacramento, Cave Junction {Oregon}, and down to Tulare on the way home. Nearly two thousand miles in the car! Avi was such a trooper. Anyways, the point of all of this is to show a pair of pics. One of the couple in SF, and then an end of the night shot showcasing the amazing view of Thomas Fogarty Winery {where the couple was married}. Enjoy

photos {so many to share}

Obviously you can tell we haven't been blogging for a while. We still have 4 weddings to edit, 15 wedding albums to design/order and a baby due in one week with a nursery half put together! So blogging has been put on the back burner for a while. We have weddings from July that I have queued up to share but can't find the time to make all the diptychs, etc. My "future blog post" folder is filled with so many amazing couple's weddings, sweet engagement sessions, and personal work. But with everything going on it has been a near impossible task. I could just blog 10 photos from each, Less is More, right?  But I (courtney) can't!  I just always have to show the whole wedding story from the getting ready to the fun crazy dancing. So that has meant no full wedding posts for a while because, well, I am tired and really pregnant! Erin has taken over with keeping me sane, fed, happy, and in clean clothes.  He has posts regular photos of my belly for you all to see and for each mention of the word pregnant or baby I loose a twitter follower... Since I supposed people follow us for the photography and if we don't keep up with the new posts, and tweet about our cats, food, and babies you get bored....BTW if you want more photo related nerdy  (I mean that in the most sincere way) tweets follow Erin's twitter @dejauregui. So back to the blogging issue. It just seemed like the 2011 wedding season passed by us in a blink of an eye. I have been pregnant since the most intense and busiest months of shooting every weekend and traveling all over (that obviously didn't help with keeping up with work).  So we have blogged only a third of the weddings we shot in 2011, shown a ton of sneak peeks (and I am about to do that again here), never did a year in review and still are finishing the last 2 December weddings (bless those couple's hearts for their amazing patience) Well with a baby due any minute, be prepared to see a bunch of our baby on here before you see another full wedding.

With that I will leave you with a few collages that I quickly made in Two Bright Lights of weddings we will share (I would add "soon" to that but we all know it should say "eventually"). We have  so many more too but I didn't want to spend to long making collages as I have to go back to editing, plus you have seen sneaks of most of the others. You can also view some weddings we haven't blogged yet that were featured on Style Me Pretty this last month. Laura and Will and Charisse and Justin

If you don't see another post after this by next week you will know we have had a baby. :)

Nicole and Andrew's Ranch wedding-Gorgeous!

Katie and Justin's Modern Downtown Los Angeles wedding-Rad Natalie and Jeff's Sweet Garden Wedding- Stunning

Molly and Jake's Colorful Palm Springs Wedding- Ridiculously Awesome

All our couples are so different and their weddings are too. This is what we love and keeps us challenged.  From modern, traditional, funky, classic, dark, light, outside, inside, church, beach, ballroom, silly, serious, you name it, we capture them how we see it, but with THEIR needs and wants in mind and we don't forget that!  We use what ever tool (camera, lenses, lighting, film, digital etc.) we need to use to get the best shot, and in the end  it makes each wedding individual and special.  We hope you see our work in this way too. Each wedding a bit different in style, feel, and look, but still telling a great story of the day!

After lots and lots and lots of shooting and traveling throughout May and June, we are finally able to start catching up on our editing and blogging. So, here is an exciting post for you. We were fortunate enough to go to New Orleans to photograph Laura and Will. This was our first time ever to NOLA and it was more then we expected. Just an amazing city, filled with a sense of quaint european charm, good food, and genuine southern hospitality. We will share our personal travel photos in the next post. But for now we just love sharing this engagement shoot. We are so excited for the wedding this September in the beautiful Temecula Wine Country. :)

Okay- this was a good one!! The longest wedding day we ever shot. Fourteen hours of pure fun! We have never seen so much dancing in our lives, those Armenians sure know how to party. It was colorful, beautiful, traditional, crazy fun, and so cool. I just love her dress with the all the lace scallops! We love Mel and argam (aka Argamel). I am sure you remember there amazing engagement photos here too, but feast your eyes on this party!

Jenn + Matt {Solvang CA}

This was such a beautiful wedding and a gorgeous day. Perfect cloud cover, lovely florals and such amazing details. The wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty today go take a looksy. :) Everything and everyone were just as warm and wonderful as can be! So it really takes a village to bustle a dress!

Kauai Bliss {sneak peek}

Okay, loads of sneak peeks I know, but as we edit we can't help ourselves....So what makes for a rad Kauai wedding? All this below: Pineapples, shaved ice, floral crowns, peacocks and doves (and chickens LOTS of chickens) colorful shoes, rain of course, walks on a beach, lounging in a hammock, and riding off on a vintage motorcycle. Sweet Kauai bliss.

Lindsay + Dan {Keystone, Colorado wedding}

We are SO excited to share this wedding. Not only was it such a beautiful location, gorgeous wedding, and fabulous rainy weather, but the most fun we have had with a couple in a long time. Lindsay and Dan just blew us away with their happiness and welcoming personality. Within an hour of us arriving we were being asked by guests how long we had all been friends.:) And that is how the weekend went, lots of fun, making new friends, and taking beautiful photos.  We couldn't have loved this wedding more and their embracing of the rain just made it even better.  Love. Love. Love.

Lindsay's brother and all the bridesmaids did a "Bad Romance" flash mob and it was hilarious!!

We woke up the next morning to SNOW, it was so beautiful. This was June 13th mind you!!

Andrea + Phinny {the wedding}

We do have a sense of humor still. So we thought how ironic and lovely it would be to feature this wedding after our last post. It happens mainly to be a coensednece as we pretty much feature weddings in order of our edit. But none the less, what a beautiful pregnant bride Andrea is and this wedding was amazing. It took place at Saddllerock Ranch in Malibu, our new favorite venue. With the gorgeous flowers by Danielle at Brown Paper Design, the coordination by Cassandra Santor and the dance crazy tunes of Michael the Human Jukebox the wedding rocked it! There was so much love going around, the ceremony, the guests, all of it just couldn't have been more perfect.

Tiffanie + Leo {the wedding}

What a sweet day time wedding this was. It was at the clarke estate which is such a cool venue. The florals, by Heavenly Blooms, and all the details made by the bride herself were just perfect for the afternoon affaire. Tiffanie and leo have such a cool and genuine banter between them it was a pleasure to photograph them. They both just make each other laugh all the time. FYI Leo is a human ipod. no joke, he knows the words to any song you put on. Check out his Nintendo controller cufflinks! We had such a great time shooting this wedding! Thanks to Snippet and Ink for the lovely feature here! Enjoy the photos.

Let it rain! {keystone colorado wedding sneak}

We arrived thursday and it was partly cloudy, on Friday thunderstorms, Saturday it rained but who cares! it was great. Today we woke up to snow!! We love it here and love this bride and groom There was a small break in the rain to keep the ceremony outdoors, but right as they exchanged rings the rain started coming down... How romantic to have your first kiss as husband and wife in the rain... :)

.... But on to our next destination, Lake Tahoe.

Moira + Sean {Tucson Wedding}

We are so excited to share this wedding with you. Not only did we get to shoot a fun, spur of the moment, fly on the wall, night Brooklyn engagement session with these two (see here) we then flew to Tucson to shoot this lovely affair! It was such a blast with the party going well into the night ending with a pinata. :) It had everything: beauty, love, fun, and pure delight. Enjoy the photos!!

their rings each had each others thumbprint engraved so cool!
