Such a sweet engagement session with a great couple! We spent the afternoon in San Luis Obispo a favorite place of all of ours so shooting there was a breeze! We finished the engagement shoot over at Montana del Oro, if you haven't been there you must go. It is an amazing state park! We will be shooting their wedding this weekend in Santa Barbara and I know it will be beautiful!
One of the last shots of the day from our shoot in Atlanta with a rad couple! :) I couldn't help myself I had to share this ASAP. I really want to live by and in a lake. Can't wait to go back next April for their wedding.... might have to just jump in this lake when we go back. :) Portra 400 35mm.
Cat and jonah met at a sports camp as camp counselors, I bet they were the kids favorite counselors too!! I think we laughed the whole time during this session. :) We are behind on blogging and have already shot their wedding at Cicada in Downtown Los angeles, which was a blast! Can't wait to share the wedding too.
We had a great time meeting these two, and shooting their engagement session. We wish them all the best on there wedding in Nebraska.
Here is one amazing couple! We got to shoot their engagement session at Saddle Rock Ranch. I just love that place, it is beyond peaceful and gorgeous. We can't wait for their December wedding at the London Hotel.
After lots and lots and lots of shooting and traveling throughout May and June, we are finally able to start catching up on our editing and blogging. So, here is an exciting post for you. We were fortunate enough to go to New Orleans to photograph Laura and Will. This was our first time ever to NOLA and it was more then we expected. Just an amazing city, filled with a sense of quaint european charm, good food, and genuine southern hospitality. We will share our personal travel photos in the next post. But for now we just love sharing this engagement shoot. We are so excited for the wedding this September in the beautiful Temecula Wine Country. :)
Here is a sweet session of a really lovely couple. We shot around Manhattan beach until we got that amazing glowing light under the peir. Then we finished off the day at the LACMA lights! We wish Rachel and Andrew the best at their wedding in Michigan!!
I know this is the 4th engagement session posting in a row but we have so many right now it is just easy to post them right after the edit. :) We have a few wedding postings in the works.... But for now enjoy all the engagement shoots. This was all taken at Nicole's Grandma's house. We made the little outdoor studio then frolicked all over the hillside and garden. I am sure their wedding will be just as rad coming this october....
awwwwww...... we had so much fun in NOLA. Here is just a taste.
Here is the third engagement shoot we did last month up in the bay area. This one started at the Bay Bridge and ended at the Golden Gate bridge. We thought using the more iconic SF back drops would work well for Sarah and Jacob since this was both of their first trip to the bay area. We are super excited to shoot their wedding in Michigan this fall and hope Jacob might bring out his skateboard for some shots in their wedding getup too. :)
Here is a quick Polaroid from an awesome engagement shoot we did recently. More of this outdoor studio session coming.....
Here is the second session we did the weekend we went up to the bay area. We loved this one as well and was so sweet with the rain and the cafe stop. The last shot is our favorite.
This was the first of three engagement sessions we did last month in San Francisco, the other two to follow soon behind this one. We are sooo looking forward to Gabby and Nick's wedding in Chicago in June!!!
We had a wonderful time shooting these two and we love the simple, perfect and sweet engagement sessions at Griffith Park. We are really looking forward to their wedding in May.
A sweet couple in a sweet setting. We loved shooting at the creek. Erin prepared by bringing his creek romping shoes. Me I just said "F-k it" I can't balance on the rocks anymore and in I went too. The water was surprisingly nice and these two love birds had no problem wading in it. We shot a few rolls of medium format on the RZ67. Digital or Film I (we) love both just the same. But the RZ is just a rad camera to shoot with. The film shots are mixed into the post. (pretty easy to pick out) We are looking forward to their wedding in May! :) Sorry for the long posts, I just can't help it. This first shot is one of my favorites!
love this tangled kiss. Shot on a Mamiya RZ67 with Kodak Portra 800
Shooting in downtown LA can be so fun and when you throw in some iconic 500 Days of Summer spots and a cute couple, it becomes such a fun photo story. We are looking forward to the wedding in April at the Vibiana.
I Love these from an engagement shoot we did just last week. They make me happy. More to come of this sweet couple.
As we start to catch up from all the whoas of life...we will have a ton of posts for you! We will be shooting this lovely couple's wedding next weekend in the Bay Area and we are so excited. It will be a marvelous black tie affaire and we will get to feel the cool fresh breeze of SF on our faces. Can't wait! I (courtney) also made this kite! It was spur of the moment and I think it turned out great. Although not sure if it will fly as there was nooo wind, but looked quite cute with them holding it! No, they aren't models but they sure do look like it! :) Make sure you scroll to the end to see the little furry friend that sat down beside them.
A lovely night shot by Erin! So True blood (actually I don't know, I don't watch the show....yet)
little miss muffet....
When we were in Bali, Indonesia for the AMAZING wedding of this couple (that we will share soon) we spent an afternoon with them photographing this In The Mood For Love inspired engagement shoot. We had so much fun taking over an awesome restaurant, Siam Sally, in Ubud for an hour. Amy had the most beautiful Cheongsams made for the shoot that fit the feel of the story so well. If you haven't seen the movie by Wong Kar-wai, you must! We had to stop for a minute to pinch ourselves that we were shooting in BALI....
